The "positive" info from Eskom.  Please be aware that some people at Eskom believe that Nuclear power is a form of renewable energy or believe that Nuclear power is environmentally friendly. They say it has no (or little) pollution and no (or few) side effects.

A detailed understanding?

If you really want to understand what's happening in the Nuclear World and you want to read information from an expert and if you have 4 hours, then read "The Nuclear Illusion" by Amory Lovins and Imran Sheikh.  The full download is available (4.2MB). I recommend it. If you really want to know what you're talking about and don't want to repeat hearsay, then don't read anything else in the newspapers or on the wikipedia until you've read this document. Three of my biggest problems I discovered in this paper were: 1) the lack of new nuclear engineers being trained; 2) the diminishing number of companies who can build and maintain nuclear power stations; 3) the lack of insurance for nuclear power stations.

Note that our grandparents who built the first nuclear power stations said that their children would have solutions. But those children's children still sit with nuclear waste that will have to be managed for 1000's of years.
